3 for 30a
Story by Natalie Haddock
Valentine’s Day may still be a week away but this installment of 3 for 30A is spreading the love a little early by introducing a few confectionery treasures that are sure to melt your heart.
Friday February 6 – Dawson’s Yogurt & Fudge.
For over 20 years Dawson’s Yogurt and Fudge has been serving up sweetness by the pound. This Seaside staple is the go-to for tasty treats like frozen yogurt and soft sweet fudge. Stop by this weekend for ½ lb fudge free with 1lb purchase. Your sweetie will love the Cranberry Walnut fudge; it’s festively pink in color and comes packaged in a “Happy Valentine’s Day” box. (Keep the extra ½ lb for your own stash, though!) Dawson’s is open 10AM to 8PM Friday & Saturday, and until 7PM on Sunday.

Saturday February 7 – The Candy Bar
Reopening this Saturday is the Candy Bar in Watercolor. From your classic candy bars and nostalgic sweets to the weird and even a little wacky, this little shop is sure to satisfy that sweet tooth. The focus this week is red candies and lollipops but another great gift idea is their popular “Candy Cake,” like the 4-layer Hershey Bar Cake assembled from packaged candy and ready to share. The Candy Bar has also recently added a “We Dare You” menu for those brave enough to try exotic concoctions like their Tobasco Milkshake or the Dill Pickle Sunday. Check them out this Saturday from 10AM-5PM.
Sunday February 8 – La Crème Tapas & Chocolate
La Crème Tapas & Chocolate in Rosemary Beach serves up affordable coffee, wine, dinner, and can’t-miss-desserts every day starting at 10AM. This Sunday indulge you taste buds with creative tapas and decadent desserts without the guilt of a hefty receipt. Try their Crispy Spanish Eggplant tapas to start, but stay for the Chocolate Dipped Bacon and a Milky Way Latte. In honor of Valentine’s Day approaching, La Crème is also featuring a Warm Strawberry Soup Creme Fraiche with Churros. Did someone say fabuloso?!
