Friday, May 8th – Come to Grand Boulevard this Friday to explore the 27th annual ArtsQuest Showcase as artists from around the country will exhibit their work in various mediums for a chance to win cash and prizes. Pieces will demonstrate creativity in ceramics, glass, oil and acrylics, photography, sculpture, metal, and wood. Bring the children to delight in the circus themed festivities, complete with jugglers, stilt walkers, and live music. Cash bar and food station will be available. Also, The Full Plate Project exhibition will feature painted plates to be sold in effort to raise funds for arts in education and food for children in need in the community. The event will take place on Friday 12pm-7pm, Saturday 10am-7pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm.
Saturday, May 9th – Fresh from their grand opening on Cinco de Mayo, the Hub is South Walton’s newest hot spot for music and dining along 30A. With five restaurants, a large outdoor common area including greenspace and fire pit, and a grand stage set for live music and entertainment, the name really says it all – it’s a hub of family friendly fare! Sunday May 10th – This Sunday is Mother’s day so treat your mom (or ask your family to treat you) to a very special Sunday brunch at the Vue on 30A. The menu will offer a carving station with prime rib and rack of lamb, an omelet station, warm waffles, a grits and mashed potato bar, chicken picatta, Mahi Mahi, and assorted sautéed vegetables. There will also be a fresh seafood bar with oysters, shrimp cocktail, and cured salmon.
