Shaka Sushi and Noodle Bar hosted its soft opening April 11 and 12. Diners can choose from eight featured Shaka Rolls, seven Classic Rolls, seven small plates, three featured Noodle Bowls, and Designer Bowls. Three Little Shaka Bites appeal to the younger crowd, while sake, sake cocktails, beer and wine satisfy the adults at the table. One of the eight featured Shaka Rolls, the North Shore roll combines tuna,
cream cheese, and tempura, and tops it with avocado and krab salad.
Rolled inside The Maverick, diners will find tuna, bacon, Shaka sauce, cream
cheese, tempura, and green onions, all topped with avocado, jalapeño, sambal and a
soy reduction.
The Surfing Soldier starts with a seafood broth, then ads ramen, shrimp,
pickled daikon, baby corn, a farm egg, basil and bok choy.
The Bodhi is a pork-based ramen bowl featuring pork belly and tenderloin
with pickled vegetables, enoki mushrooms, cilantro, bok choy and a farm egg.
