3 for 30a- Back to School

We at 30Afoodandwine.com know that with the new school year just starting out, maybe you want to get settled in, and order out. This week’s installment of 3 for 30a is all about the comfort foods that bring families together so take it easy this weekend; put down the pots and pans, and pick up a few of your family’s favorites from along 30A.
Friday, August 21 – Friday night has always been, and will probably forever be unofficially “Pizza Night” across the US. There are some pretty good choices nearby but Bruno’s Pizza in Watersound is a local’s go-to for fresh, hot, gooey pizza with choices and toppings that pleases even the pickiest eaters. Stop in from 11AM – 2PM to try a variety of pizzas on their lunch buffet. Specialty pizzas include all your favorites like the Supreme, the Meat Lover’s, the Hawaiian, and the White Pizza but don’t be afraid to mix things up with the Surf and Turf or Taco Pizza. The best part – Bruno’s will deliver their pies right to you and your family for a casual dinner right at home.
Saturday, August 22 – The menu at Hurricane Oyster Bar and Grill is southern comfort food in all the ways we like it best – grilled, blackened, or fried (and with oysters, raw). They have casual finger foods that make you feel right at home, including everything from Fried Oyster Nachos or Grilled Jumbo Wings to po’boys, burgers, and tacos. Of course, you can also get your forks out and dig into their Seared Scallops specialty plate, complete with Gouda cheese grits, sautéed spinach, and a sweet corn sauté with artichokes. And if someone in the family just has to catch all the preseason football action, The Hurricane Oyster Bar and Grill also offers 14 TV’s as well as happy hour specials on food and drinks.
Sunday, August 23 – if you are staying on the West end of 30A and don’t feel like venturing out on a Sunday night, Chinese food is always an option and Chop Stix really delivers! Their classic variety of “New York Style” cuisine will have the family gathered together in no time. All entrees are made to order and cooked with 100% vegetable oil. Get your favorites like shrimp fried rice and sesame chicken, or mix things up with a combination plate or a House Specialty Item. Diet menu and vegetarian options are also available. Of course, no meal is complete without a serving of egg drop soup and a fortune cookie! So checkout the Chop Stix menu and order in some Chinese that is sure to please.
