Story by Natalie Haddock

Friday, May 8th – Come to Grand Boulevard this Friday to explore the 27th annual ArtsQuest Showcase as artists from around the country will exhibit their work in various mediums for a chance to win cash and prizes. Pieces will demonstrate creativity in ceramics, glass, oil and acrylics, photography, sculpture, metal, and wood. Bring the children to delight in the circus themed festivities, complete with jugglers, stilt walkers, and live music. Cash bar and food station will be available. Also, The Full Plate Project exhibition will feature painted plates to be sold in effort to raise funds for arts in education and food for children in need in the community. The event will take place on Friday 12pm-7pm, Saturday 10am-7pm, and Sunday 10am-6pm.

Saturday, May 9th – Fresh from their grand opening on Cinco de Mayo, the Hub is South Walton’s newest hot spot for music and dining along 30A. With five restaurants, a large outdoor common area including greenspace and fire pit, and a grand stage set for live music and entertainment, the name really says it all – it’s a hub of family friendly fare! You can get burgers, tacos, fried chicken, icy treats, and souvenirs all in the same block! If you’re ready to explore something new along 30A, check out the Hub in Watersound this weekend.
