3 for 30a – Bourbon, Blues and “Summer on 30a”
Dare I say there is a break in the humidity? Does it appear the cooler temps of fall our almost here and summer is truly behind us? In this last weekend of August the team here at 30a Food and Wine highlights some of the best bets for getting out and about on 30a this weekend.
Friday August 26th –
Backyard Bourbon, BBQ and Blues – Stop by the HUB on 30a beginning at 3pm on Friday to sample the “Meat Steve Platter.” For $33 guests can enjoy a sampling of smoked meats from Executive Chef Steven Bucalo. Included is a flight of bourbon to help start the weekend off on the right note! Stick around as Alvin Youngblood Hart and his Musical Theory Band take the stage at 8PM. Hear why the grammy-award winning Hart has been praised by the likes of Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.

Saturday August 27th –
Evening of Giving Back Benefitting Food For Thought- Dine with Bud & Alley’s Restaurant and Bud & Alley’s Pizza Bar on Saturday evening to help fight food insecurity in Walton and Okaloosa County. Food for Thought is a Santa Rosa Beach based charity founded in 2010 to help fight food insecurity facing area children. Enjoy a “Summer on 30a” cocktail while you are there. The “Summer on 30a” cocktail is a creation of Corey Jernigan, and proceeds of the sales of the cocktail will benefit Food for Thought. Be sure and visit the 30a Farmer’s Market in Rosemary Beach on Sunday from 9AM to 1PM. Local farmers, purveyors and vendors come together to offer their high quality goods and locally grown produce in the beautiful setting of Rosemary Beach.
